About us
About mediqnews
mediqnews gathers the latest updates from journals, regulators and research institutions and condenses them into short, source-cited summaries, sorted by specialty. Every update links straight to the original source, so you can always read the full study or announcement where it was published.
How it works
- We follow peer-reviewed journals, health authorities such as WHO, EMA, FDA and national agencies, and selected research news.
- AI reads, rates and summarises each item. Summaries are labelled as AI-generated until an editor has reviewed them.
- Readers can mark a summary as accurate or flag it — flagged items go to our editors.
- Company press releases are clearly marked, and sponsored content is always labelled as sponsored.
- A weekly digest delivers the top updates in the specialties you choose.
Who is behind mediqnews
mediqnews is created by Mediahuset, a family-owned Swedish medical publisher founded in 1985 and headquartered in Gothenburg. Today the company is led by Lars, Niklas and Kristoffer Lundblad.
For decades Mediahuset has published the member journals of Swedish medical societies — titles such as Cancerläkaren, Internisten, Infektionsläkaren, Gastrokuriren, AllmänMedicin and DiabetologNytt — covering research, congress reports and clinical news for physicians across Sweden. mediqnews brings that editorial experience to a global, English-language audience of doctors and researchers.
